Dialysis Membrane Lab Report Requirements
45 points

Introduction:  In paragraph form describe how the structure of the cell membrane relates to its function, the process of osmosis, how the various environments in which a cell can be placed will impact the cell, and why these environments will impact the cells in these ways.  (10 points)

Hypothesis: Predict what will happen to each cell in each type of environment.  (3 points)

Materials:  List all the materials you used for this lab. (2 points)

Procedure:  List the step-by-step instructions needed to complete the lab. (10 points)

Data:  In a table format, label all data taken during the lab. (5 points)

Conclusion:  In paragraph form, answer these questions.  (15 points)
-          What does your data mean in relation to your hypothesis?
-          Did you verify or falsify your hypothesis?
-          Were there any possible sources of error?  If so, what are they?
-          What types of solutions (“environments”) did you create in this lab?
-          What were the effects of the “environment” on each of the “cells”?

o   Write what you are comparing it to
o   Write its true function (in the cell)
o   Write its function within the comparison
o   Write how the comparison and its true function relate
